Petrified Dunes

One of the most iconic locations in the park! This trail is about 10 minutes of walking along a level trail and then up stair like rocks. The parking lot is limited, so during busy times of year (Thanksgiving weekend especially) we will park at the Upper Galoot and walk up. This is not wheelchair accessible. Perfect for any type of portraits. I prefer to photograph here 1-2 hours before sunset, depending on the time of year. This is also a permitted wedding ceremony location in the park! There is a $40 permit fee to photograph in Snow Canyon State Park and I need at least 1 week to apply for the permit.
