Snow Canyon state park offers many beautiful locations to photograph. There is a permit fee of $40 and requires a minimum of a week notice to obtain. There is also an entrance fee of up to $20 per vehicle to enter the park. Dogs are permitted and some areas are wheelchair accessible. You can also get married here! Hidden Pinyon Parking Lot
This location is located by the parking lot of Hidden Pinyon/Three Ponds Trail. No hiking required and is on level ground. This is wheelchair accessible. Great for any type of session from single portraits to large extended families.

Petrified Dunes
One of the most iconic locations in the park! This trail is about 10 minutes of walking along a level trail and then up stair like rocks. The parking lot is limited, so during busy times of year (Thanksgiving weekend especially) we will park at the Upper Galoot and walk up. This is not wheelchair accessible. Perfect for any type of portraits. This is also a permitted wedding ceremony location in the park.

Butterfly Trail
The Butterfly trail is an easy 5 minutes of walking on level ground. Great for extended families on top of the petrified rock, smaller families and individuals down lower on the trail. The parking lot is limited, so during busy times of year (Thanksgiving weekend especially) we will park at the Upper Galoot and walk up. This is not wheelchair accessible.

Sand Dunes
The sand dunes is an easy 1 minute walk from the parking lot. The parking lot is small, but there is another lot close by we can use and walk down as well. This is a great option for any type of session. This is wheelchair accessible until we reach the sand. This is permitted for wedding ceremonies as well!

Jenny's Canyon
Jenny’s canyon features a slot canyon at the end of the trail. It’s about 10 minutes of walking through mostly sand with a little bit of steps at the end. The slot canyon shields from wind and harsh light, and it’s slightly cooler making it nice in the summer temps. Along the trail there’s also a dried up riverbed with lava rock and beautiful scenery. The slot canyon is great for small groups and the riverbed can fit extended families. This is not wheelchair accessible.

Cougar Cliffs
Cougar Cliffs is a beautiful red rock location. It’s not “inside” the park, so parking is on the side of the highway. This requires a 5 minute walk from the car at a decline. This is not wheelchair accessible. This location is great for any size of group.

Scenic Overlook
The Scenic Overlook is a wonderful spot right next to the parking lot. This offers stunning views and is great for any size of group. This location is also permitted for wedding ceremonies!

Pioneer Names
Pioneer names is a quick 2 minute walk from the cars in the sand. This features a really beautiful arch and views toward the sand dunes. Parking is limited off the side of the road, so it’s best for small groups. It works for an extended family if the cars are parked at nearby parking lots and walk to the Pioneer Names trail.
